Mother's Gruesome Sepsis Battle: Quadruple Amputation

Cassandra Marshall, a 35-year-old mother, experienced a terrifying health crisis that began as a New Year's Day flu. The infection escalated to septic shock, a severe condition that nearly claimed her life and necessitated a drastic medical intervention. Doctors made the difficult decision to amputate all four of her limbs to prevent further organ damage and ensure her survival.

Initially treated in North Carolina, Marshall required life support and an ECMO machine to stabilize her condition.
