Morrisons Enhances Store Facilities for Stoma Patients

Morrisons has announced the introduction of new, accessible toilet facilities in all of its full-sized stores. This initiative aims to provide hygienic and user-friendly options for customers with stomas or those who require sanitary pads.
The enhancements were developed in response to customer feedback and in partnership with advocate Edward Mountain, a Member of the Scottish Parliament and a bowel cancer survivor. Mountain shared his personal experience and advocated for stoma-friendly facilities, highlighting the difficulties many face when using public restrooms.
Colostomy UK also provided guidance to the retailer. David Scott, Corporate Affairs Director at Morrisons, expressed pleasure in implementing these improvements, stating they will offer reassurance to customers and help reduce everyday barriers to accessing suitable facilities nationwide.
