Pregnancy Scan Reveals Deadly Cancer Diagnosis
5 Mar
Summary
- A routine pregnancy scan detected abnormal DNA, leading to a 50% cancer risk.
- Dolly Chhabria was diagnosed with Gray Zone Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.
- She began intensive chemotherapy one week after giving birth to her daughter.

In August 2023, Dolly Chhabria, 37, discovered she was pregnant. A routine scan the following month revealed abnormal DNA, indicating a 50% chance of cancer. Further MRI scans detected masses near her heart and collarbone, later confirmed as Gray Zone Lymphoma through a biopsy.
Dolly endured a difficult pregnancy, undergoing bridge therapy to manage the cancer. She gave birth to her daughter, Edha, on March 25, 2024. Just a week later, Dolly began intensive chemotherapy.
Following treatment, including immunotherapy and a stem cell transplant, Dolly achieved remission on April 30, 2025. While the treatments saved her life, they have resulted in significant physical challenges, including weight loss and reduced heart function.
