Miracle Pregnancy Saves Mom's Life After Cancer Battle
5 Jul
Summary
- A secondary cancer diagnosis was discovered during pregnancy.
- The pregnancy was unexpected after being told she couldn't have children.
- An emergency C-section is scheduled for July 6 to allow cancer treatment.

Specialists at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford identified a secondary cancer in Amy, a support worker and mindset coach from Great Addington, Northamptonshire. This diagnosis is linked to breast cancer she overcame in 2021. The unexpected pregnancy, which she considers a miracle after being told she could not have children, led to the discovery of the returning illness.
With treatment urgently required, doctors have scheduled an emergency C-section for Monday, July 6. Amy will be almost 31 weeks pregnant at that time. This procedure will allow her to commence radiotherapy treatment the following week. She expressed deep concern about potential side effects from the treatment, including memory loss and loss of eyesight, fearing she might forget her life and children.
Amy, who is also a tattoo model, had previously beaten breast cancer in 2021 following cosmetic surgery. This surgery, she believes, saved her life as it led to the initial cancer diagnosis. Her partner, Torrin, has been a constant support. To aid Amy during this challenging period, a friend, Kirsty Wilkinson, launched a JustGiving page.
