Health officials are warning travelers who were in Terminal C between midnight and 2:30 a.m. on April 14 of potential exposure to the highly contagious disease.
This individual is currently recovering at home in Rhode Island. Health authorities have stated there are no other known exposure points in Boston at this time. The man also visited a bakery in western Providence on April 15 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., potentially exposing other patrons.
Health officials emphasize the importance of the measles vaccine (MMR), noting its 97% effectiveness. As of last week, the US had reported 1,748 confirmed measles cases in 2026. Unvaccinated individuals who may have been exposed are urged to contact their healthcare provider immediately and quarantine at home.
