Medical Center Hospital (MCH) has once again achieved the American College of Cardiology's HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence, as of April 2026. This re-accreditation underscores MCH's sustained commitment to delivering comprehensive, high-quality cardiovascular care.
The esteemed designation requires hospitals to meet stringent accreditation criteria and consistently report performance data. MCH first earned this recognition in 2025 and must reapply annually to maintain its status.
MCH stands out as one of only eight hospitals in Texas and 82 across the nation to hold this distinction. The hospital's CEO, Russell Tippin, expressed pride in the heart team and Cath Lab, highlighting MCH's growing reputation as a destination for cardiac patients.
Achieving the HeartCARE Center designation involves meeting specific criteria, including participation in ACC Accreditation Services programs and NCDR registries. MCH also holds previous ACC Cardiovascular Accreditations in Chest Pain (Platinum) and its Cath Lab, further validating their advanced cardiac care capabilities.
