Maryland health officials have announced a fourth measles exposure alert within the past two weeks. The latest warning concerns a Washington D.C. resident who visited a Maryland location on April 24, 2026, while infectious.
Individuals who visited the specified business center or other locations identified by D.C. Health during the exposure period may have been at risk. The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is strongly encouraging residents to be vigilant for measles symptoms and to confirm their measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccination status is current.
Last week, two Baltimore-area residents were confirmed to have contracted measles following out-of-state travel. As of April 24, 2026, the origin of their exposure remained undetermined. Health officials have stated that there is no known link between this new case and any previously reported cases in Maryland during 2026.
