Summary
- Mark Cuban consumes canned baby clams with honey on egg white wraps.
- He switched to a pescatarian diet to increase iron levels.
- A nutritionist confirms the meal's protein and iron but notes high sodium.

Mark Cuban, a prominent billionaire and entrepreneur, shared his surprisingly simple yet unconventional lunch choice during a recent podcast appearance. He prepares egg white wraps filled with canned baby clams and drizzles honey on top, a meal he admits sounds 'disgusting' but finds effective for his health strategy.
Cuban, who has transitioned to a pescatarian diet to enhance his iron levels, explained that this meal efficiently provides protein and iron. The egg white wraps offer about 50 calories and 11 grams of protein, while canned clams add approximately 80 calories and 14 grams of protein.
While the combination may raise eyebrows, certified holistic nutritionist Robin DeCicco noted that canned shellfish like clams are rich in absorbable iron and protein. She identified the high sodium in canned clams as a potential concern and suggested opting for low-sodium versions. DeCicco also pointed out the meal's deficiency in vegetables, which are crucial for fiber, antioxidants, and overall health, recommending additions like lettuce or tomato.
