Ludhiana's healthcare landscape is poised for a substantial transformation in 2026, with the health department initiating a series of infrastructure projects. The Integrated Public Health Laboratory and Critical Care Block, designed for emergency services, operation theatres, and ICU care, are also slated for completion.
Further enhancements at the civil hospital include revamping the Mother and Child Hospital block and upgrading the High Dependency Unit. Plans also encompass a rationalized parking system with dedicated no-parking zones and a revamped emergency area featuring a separate triage section. The department is focused on improving sanitation, ensuring well-lit premises, and streamlining patient-centric services to address current deficiencies.
