- She reported reduced bloating and back pain, but fatigue persists.

Former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh has shared an update on her recovery and the appearance of her scars after undergoing laparoscopy surgery for endometriosis in November. Filming herself in a bikini, Mecklenburgh pointed out the faint scarring above her belly button and on her lower abdomen, describing them as nearly invisible.
She reported that her recovery has been positive, with bloating and lower back pain diminishing, although fatigue continues to be a significant symptom. Mecklenburgh underwent the surgery after years of experiencing symptoms from the condition.
Previously, Mecklenburgh had delayed surgery due to anxiety and the belief her symptoms were less severe than others'. She noted that social media comments about her bloating, often mistaken for pregnancy, also impacted her decision to seek treatment.
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing symptoms such as pain, heavy periods, and fatigue. Mecklenburgh received her diagnosis in early 2026 after her symptoms significantly affected her since the birth of her second child.
