Fettuccine Alfredo Recalled Over Listeria Fears
3 Oct
Summary
- Expanded recall for Bettergoods Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine due to listeria concerns.
- Frozen pasta was distributed nationwide to Walmart stores for sale.
- No illnesses reported, but recall has Class I designation for health risks.

An expanded recall has been issued for Bettergoods brand Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine by Gias Foods, Inc. The frozen pasta is now subject to recall for all lot codes due to concerns over potential listeria contamination, as announced by the FDA on Thursday.
The affected product, sold in 22-ounce yellow packaging with UPC 194346442706, was distributed nationally to Walmart locations. This recall follows routine sampling by state agriculture departments in Washington and Florida, which detected the bacteria.
As of Friday, no illnesses have been linked to the recalled pasta. However, the recall was given a Class I designation last month, signifying a serious risk of adverse health effects. Gias Foods has halted distribution as investigations continue.
Consumers who purchased the recalled frozen fettuccine should return it to the point of purchase for a refund. Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe infections, particularly in vulnerable populations, and can lead to miscarriages or stillbirths in pregnant women.
