Summary

- Undeclared milk poses health risk to milk allergy sufferers.
- Affected products can be returned for a full refund.
Lidl GB is recalling its Deluxe Red Cabbage with Apple, Dried Cranberries & Spices due to the presence of undeclared milk. This oversight presents a potential health risk to consumers with milk allergies or intolerances. The supermarket chain emphasized that the allergen was not bolded in the ingredients list, making it easy to miss.
All 480g packs of this specific product are subject to the recall, irrespective of their batch code or best-before date. Lidl GB has confirmed that no other products within their Deluxe range are affected by this recall. Consumers are urged to return any purchased items to their local store for a complete reimbursement.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) also published a notice regarding the recall on January 6. Allergy alerts are issued when food products pose an allergy-related risk, leading to their withdrawal or recall from shelves to protect consumers. For further information, customers can contact Lidl's Customer Care.
