A vital safe house in Leamington Spa, operated by The Esther Project, has reached its maximum capacity, leading to an urgent call for assistance. The seven-bed supported living accommodation is now housing three additional women who have recently sought refuge.
The Esther Project, established in 2011, provides crucial support including counseling and drop-in sessions for women experiencing significant life challenges such as domestic abuse, homelessness, or mental health issues.
Founder Lianne Kirkman emphasized the immediate need for stability for women arriving at the facility. Donations are essential to fund basic necessities like food and specialized services like counseling.
Last year, the organization provided support to over 70 women across Warwickshire. In December, The Esther Project expanded its reach by opening a new pre-loved shop and community hub, which includes a workspace and a counseling room.
