Shata Traders Inc. has initiated a nationwide recall for 24cm milk pans manufactured by Majestic Chef. Federal testing confirmed significant levels of lead, a substance linked to serious health issues such as cancer, autism, and developmental delays, particularly in children. The affected pans were distributed across several East Coast states, including New York and Massachusetts.

The FDA emphasizes that even low-level lead exposure is dangerous, especially for children and fetuses, with no safe threshold identified. Lead contamination can occur when certain cookware, especially imported aluminum or brass items, is made from recycled materials.
