Kroger Chicken Alert: Undeclared Egg Allergen Found
27 Jun
Summary
- Undeclared eggs found in Kroger's raw boneless chicken breast.
- Chicken products were misbranded with incorrect ingredient labels.
- Affected products were sold at Kroger and Fred Meyer stores in nine states.

A public health alert has been issued for Kroger's raw boneless chicken breast products due to a mislabeling issue. The chicken was found to contain undeclared eggs, a serious allergen for some individuals. Although a recall was not mandated because the items are no longer available for purchase, consumers might still have them stored in their freezers or refrigerators.
The mislabeled chicken products include 21-ounce vacuum-packed packages of Private Selection Honey Dijon Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts with Rib Meat. These items, produced on June 2, 2026, have a best if used by date of June 28, 2026, lot code 15326A, and establishment number P-45288B.
Distribution of these potentially hazardous products occurred at Kroger and Fred Meyer locations across nine states: Alabama, Alaska, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington. The error was discovered when a store employee noticed incorrect labels on the product packaging.
To date, no adverse reactions have been confirmed. The FSIS advises consumers who purchased these products not to consume them. Instead, they should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase. Those concerned about a potential reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
