Kidney Transplant Survivor Embraces New Life at Fun Run

April is National Donate Life Month, a time for organizations like Infinite Legacy to raise awareness about organ donation. James Harris, who previously endured difficult dialysis treatments for stage 3 kidney disease, is now embracing life after receiving a kidney transplant. His wife, Denise, tirelessly sought a donor for him, even becoming an ambassador for Infinite Legacy to help others.

Denise's efforts led to a pool tournament friend, Russ Redhead, stepping forward as a living donor. Infinite Legacy highlights the profound impact of both living and deceased organ donation, noting that one donor can save up to eight lives and a tissue donor can impact over 75 lives. The annual Donate Life Family Fun Run, scheduled for April 4, 2026, serves as a vital event to foster community and educate the public.
