Kerry Katona Hospitalized: Stroke Fears Grip Star

Kerry Katona experienced a health scare, being rushed to St Thomas' Hospital by ambulance amid fears she was having a stroke. The incident occurred while she was in London to watch her daughter Molly perform. Katona noticed her face wasn't right and her speech was worsening, leading her to believe she might not have much time left and prompting her to message her children.

After being transferred to King's College Hospital, scans revealed that a part of her brain was not sending signals to her face due to stress. This condition can manifest even when feeling content, as a delayed stress reaction. Katona has since sought advice and is experiencing shooting pains in her head and noticeable changes in her speech.

This episode echoes the health struggles of her late husband, George Kay, who in 2015 experienced facial paralysis and speech difficulties, later diagnosed as Bell's Palsy. Katona has traveled to Marbella, Spain, with her partner Paolo and family for her daughter Dylan-Jorge's 12th birthday but plans follow-up checks upon her return.

The singer has faced several health challenges in the past year, including two pregnancy losses with Paolo and a diagnosis of colitis in January 2026. She is now focused on speech therapy and facial exercises to help her recover.
