Woman Fights Surgeon's Gag Order
6 Feb
Summary
- Woman overturned court order preventing speech.
- Surgeon allegedly offered payment for silence.
- Patient suffered infection post-surgery complications.

Katy Morgan, 32, has won a significant legal victory against Harley Street surgeon Dr. Riccardo Frati. After undergoing breast enhancement surgery in April 2021, Morgan alleges she experienced severe pain, infection, and necrosis, requiring extensive NHS treatment. She claims Dr. Frati attempted to silence her by offering an £8,500 payment in exchange for signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
The NDA, signed while Morgan was reportedly ill and on painkillers, prohibited her from making negative comments or complaining to regulators. Morgan's legal battle culminated in a court order being lifted, allowing her to speak publicly about her experience. This victory came after a two-and-a-half-year fight.
Judge Ivan Ranson ordered Dr. Frati to pay Morgan's £20,548.72 legal costs. Morgan, an entrepreneur and mother of two, is now speaking out to advocate for other women who she believes are intimidated into silence after cosmetic procedures. She emphasizes her determination to speak her truth despite ongoing legal disputes with Frati.
Dr. Frati's legal representative denies the allegations, stating they are disputed and not yet determined. Meanwhile, Morgan continues to face health issues, including potential revision surgery costing £20,000, and has lost significant income due to her altered appearance and self-consciousness.
