Karnataka Health Minister UT Khader announced major policy shifts following a review meeting in Shivamogga. An investigation has been ordered into the referral of a Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD) patient from McGann Hospital.
The minister emphasized that senior doctors must be available during night shifts, prioritizing patient rights over medical convenience. A zero-tolerance policy for negligence in maternal care was introduced, featuring a two-stage investigation process.
