Serious Snack Recall: Junebars Contaminated with Hidden Allergens
7 Mar
Summary
- Two Junebar varieties recalled due to undeclared milk and soy.
- 1,800 snack bars distributed in New York State in January 2026.
- Recall classified as Class I, the FDA's most serious risk level.

Two popular Junebar varieties are subject to a Class I recall, the FDA's most serious designation, due to undeclared milk and soy allergens. The affected products are Junebar Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip All Natural Snack Bars and Junebar Chocolate Cherry All Natural Snack Bars. These items were distributed in New York State during January 2026.
Juniper Granola, LLC voluntarily initiated the recall after a customer reported an allergic reaction. An internal investigation revealed that non-vegan chocolate chips containing milk and soy were mistakenly included in the production of these typically dairy-free and soy-free bars. The company has recalled approximately 1,800 snack bars.
The FDA's Class I classification signifies a reasonable probability that the undeclared allergens could cause serious adverse health consequences. Consumers who purchased the recalled Junebars are advised to return them to the point of purchase for a full refund. Questions can be directed to Juniper Granola at 315-226-3339 or contact@junebars.com.
