The Health Department of Jharkhand has intensified measures to combat the potential spread of H1N1, or swine flu. Health Minister Irfan Ansari has ordered all civil surgeons and hospital superintendents to maintain strict vigilance and continuous monitoring.
Authorities are instructed to ensure early identification, testing, and treatment for suspected and serious cases. Hospitals, including RIMS Ranchi and medical college facilities, must reserve an additional 10 beds for H1N1 patients. Special vigilance is also to be maintained at public places like airports and railway stations. The public is advised to remain alert but not panic, seeking medical assessment if symptoms like fever, cough, or breathing difficulties arise.
