Endotoxins are bacterial toxins that can provoke severe immune responses when directly introduced into the bloodstream. Intravenous administration bypasses the body's natural defenses, making such contamination particularly concerning. Symptoms reported include fever, chills, chest pain, nausea, and headache. The FDA warned of potential serious medical events, including shock, sepsis, and death.
This action follows recent FDA advisories regarding the use of dietary supplement-grade glutathione in injectable products due to reports of severe adverse reactions. Consumers with affected vials are instructed to stop use immediately and discard them.
