Speaking at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore, he urged for daily practice, stating yoga promotes physical fitness and mental harmony.
The celebrations saw widespread participation. Over 1,500 students and faculty attended the TNAU event. Sainik School Amaravathinagar also hosted a session involving staff, cadets, and demonstrations by Shri Paranjothi Yoga College. Bharathiar University saw participation from over 500 NSS volunteers focusing on 'yoga for healthy ageing'.
Further events took place at Maruthi College of Physical Education, where certificates were awarded to student participants. Complementing these efforts, the Isha Foundation organized yoga sessions at approximately 1,000 locations across India, with 500 of these in Tamil Nadu, promoting various aspects of yoga and well-being.
