Bonnie Marsh, a four-year-old from Dereham, died at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in December 2021. Her inquest began at Norfolk Coroner's Court, revealing she was admitted to the hospital twice in the two days before her death. Initial symptoms included vomiting and fainting. Her mother, Lauren Marsh, conveyed that she felt unsupported by the hospital, leading to her family feeling dismissed. Bonnie had initially presented with common cold-like symptoms, but her condition worsened significantly. She was taken to A&E after vomiting and fainting, initially diagnosed with an upper respiratory tract infection and discharged. The following day, she was returned to the hospital due to being unresponsive and experiencing multiple vomiting episodes. She was discharged again with gastroenteritis. Bonnie suffered a seizure and passed away shortly after being brought back to the hospital by her mother on December 18, 2021. The inquest is scheduled to continue.
