Influencer's Head 'Exploded' After Surgery

An influencer, identified as Weronika, experienced a distressing medical emergency during a flight from Turkey to the UK following cosmetic surgery. Her surgical incisions from a neck lift and cat-eye procedure reportedly burst open while she was asleep on the plane. She described waking up to intense pain and a "hot liquid" gushing from her head, which she managed with tissues.

Weronika explained that the fluid buildup, likely seroma, combined with cabin pressure may have caused her stitches to fail. The wound later became infected, though she stated it is now clearing up. A facial plastic surgeon noted that such fluid accumulation and leakage can occur post-operation, even without travel.

Weronika, who runs a business related to surgery aftercare, shared her experience on TikTok to inform others about potential complications. She clarified that no one was to blame for the incident, as she had been cleared to fly and felt medical staff were not at fault.
