- She underwent major reconstructive surgery to rebuild her face.

Brazilian influencer Juliana Oliveira, known online as Juju do Pix, is undergoing extensive reconstructive surgery to repair her face. In 2017, she was a victim of medical malpractice when rogue practitioners at an illegal clinic injected her cheeks with 21 syringes of mineral oil and laxatives, believing it was a filler. This unauthorized substance left her with a severely disfigured appearance, impacting her confidence and career prospects.
After an eight-year search for help, Oliveira recently underwent the first of several major operations at Hospital Indianópolis in São Paulo. The procedure successfully removed a significant amount of the hardened tissue impregnated by the mineral oil. Surgeon Thiago Marra described the operation as difficult and noted that further surgeries will be necessary to fully restore her features, carefully managing the healing process to avoid complications like necrosis.
Oliveira has been documenting her journey on social media, gaining over 47,000 followers who offer messages of support. Her fans have also contributed financially to her corrective treatment. Despite the ordeal, she has maintained a sense of humor, sharing updates on her progress, including a post-surgery selfie showing fresh stitches, and a lighthearted remark about her hair color choice.
