Brazilian influencer Derleya Alves, aged 26, has reportedly passed away due to complications arising from a breast augmentation surgery. Alves underwent the procedure on February 20, after which she began experiencing intense abdominal pain. This led to her requiring further medical intervention, including two additional surgeries to repair her intestines and the removal of one ovary. She died on February 28 at the Marabá Municipal Hospital in Marabá, Brazil.
Medical professionals at the hospital noted a potential congenital intestinal abnormality that might have exacerbated her condition. While investigations into the exact cause of death and her pre-operative condition are ongoing, there is currently no suspicion of medical malpractice. A biopsy report is anticipated around March 16. Alves, who had a significant online presence with over 27,000 followers on Instagram, was laid to rest on March 1.
