After struggling with infertility for nearly eight years and enduring three failed IVF embryo transfers, a Bengaluru couple has welcomed their first child. Initially advised to use donor gametes, the couple found success by addressing previously undetected issues.

Fertility specialists identified a combination of fallopian tube problems and sperm damage as the root causes. Ananya, 35, and Aswin, 36, had normal female fertility parameters, but Aswin's semen analysis revealed poor sperm quality and DNA damage. Advanced techniques were employed for sperm selection during ICSI.

Further investigation revealed unhealthy fallopian tubes, leading to their disconnection. Additionally, an endometrial receptivity assay indicated that the optimal window for embryo transfer was a day later than standard.
