Specific trimesters of pregnancy were found to be more vulnerable to heat's effects. Extreme heat during the first trimester was most strongly associated with preterm births, while the second trimester showed a link to low birthweight. The third trimester of pregnancy presented a higher risk for stillbirths. These adverse outcomes were notably more pronounced among pregnant individuals with a low Body Mass Index (BMI), lower educational attainment, and those from poorer socioeconomic backgrounds.
