Pulse Pharmaceuticals announced on Thursday that it has received approval from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for its nano-carrier entrapped Vitamin D3 oral dispersion. According to Founder and Managing Director K. V. Rambabu, this approval is likely a world-first and positions Pulse Pharmaceuticals for expansion into neighboring South Asian countries. It also supports the company's pursuit of regulatory clearance in highly regulated markets, including the United States.
Since 2010, Pulse Pharmaceuticals has focused on nanotechnology to enhance drug efficacy, bioavailability, patient tolerance, and overall experience. The company has developed proprietary platform technologies for medicine delivery, which are now being applied beyond Vitamin D3 to Vitamin K2-7, Vitamin B12, Iron, and common medications like Paracetamol, Diclofenac, and Ibuprofen.
Pulse Pharmaceuticals holds five patents in countries including India, the U.S., Russia, Mexico, and Australia, with an EU patent for its Aqueol technology nearing final approval. Additional patents are pending for other platforms in seven major countries, signaling a strong commitment to innovation in drug delivery.
