A new State health initiative named Hridayaragam is set to revolutionize healthcare by bringing disease screening directly to citizens' doorsteps. Health workers will conduct home visits for screenings, shifting the focus from people attending medical camps to a proactive, preventative approach.
The primary goal of Hridayaragam is the prevention and early detection of chronic diseases. This innovative program was announced by Health Minister K. Muraleedharan, who also participated in a walkathon for World Stroke Day and released the initiative's logo.
Initially, Hridayaragam will be implemented in the Vattiyurkavu, Idukki, and Nilambur constituencies. The State government plans to extend this vital health service across the entire State in the near future, ensuring wider access to doorstep health checks.
