The District Collector, G. Rajakumari, conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of the Critical Care Unit (CCU) at the Government General Hospital on Wednesday. She directed officials to ensure the project is completed within the set timeline and to high-quality standards.
The first floor of the CCU has been completed, and work on the second floor is actively progressing. This new facility is expected to significantly benefit emergency and critical care services for severely ill patients.

Improvements are also planned for the hospital's help desk to better assist patients with departmental and service information. Additionally, efforts will be made to ensure all eligible patients are informed about free treatment options available under the NTR Vaidya Seva scheme.
