5 Oct
Summary
- Popular Christmas cookies recalled due to undeclared allergens.
- Product contains barley, wheat, egg, nuts, soya, and sesame.
- Customers can return affected cookies for a full refund.
A health risk has prompted Home Bargains to urge customers to return popular Christmas cookies. The Lambertz Mini Spekulatius and Lambertz Christmas Tree Cookies are being recalled because allergens were not declared in English on the packaging.
These biscuits contain barley and wheat (gluten), egg, hazelnut, lactose, soya, lupin, nuts, peanuts, and sesame. Consumers with intolerances to these ingredients may not have been aware of the risks. The retailer advises that only products with no English label on the back are affected.
Customers are strongly advised not to consume the cookies and can return them to any Home Bargains store for a complete refund. The affected batch of Lambertz Mini Spekulatius has a best-before date of August 30, 2027, while the Lambertz Christmas Tree Cookies have a best-before date of May 17, 2027.
This recall aims to protect consumers from potential allergic reactions. Those experiencing severe symptoms should seek immediate medical attention. For more information, customers can contact the Home Bargains support team.
