Beyond age and genetics, several other factors contribute to high blood pressure. These include underlying medical conditions affecting the kidneys or endocrine system, obstructive sleep apnea, poor sleep quality, prolonged stress, and consuming high-sodium packaged foods. Sedentary habits, even with short exercise periods, and prolonged screen time further elevate risks.
