Haryana TB Fight: New Website and Survivor Support Launch

Haryana has initiated a multi-faceted approach to bolster its tuberculosis control efforts. A dedicated state tuberculosis (TB) cell website was launched, providing real-time public access to TB services. Complementing this digital advancement, a unique sewing machine center has been established to foster financial independence among TB survivors.
During the period of January to December 2025, Haryana reported 88,689 tuberculosis cases, exceeding its sputum testing target with 12.52 lakh tests conducted. Treatment outcomes remain positive, with 74,483 patients successfully completing their treatment in 2024, achieving a 90% success rate.
Integrated management of co-morbidities is also a focus, with HIV testing coverage at 98% and diabetes screening at 96% for TB patients. The TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan has seen over 34 lakh vulnerable individuals mapped and more than 10 lakh screened. Nutritional and social support through the Nikshay Mitra initiative has distributed over 2.64 lakh food baskets since September 2022.
