Haryana Renal Transplants Achieve 100% Success

Haryana's Department of Nephrology at PGIMS Rohtak has successfully completed 34 renal transplants between February 2023 and April 2026, boasting a 100% success rate. This program, initiated in 2023, has steadily grown, reflecting increasing public trust and improved capacity.
The state is committed to supporting Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients by providing free dialysis services, essential medicines, and diagnostic support. Dialysis facilities are operational at PGIMS Rohtak and all district hospitals, with 20,466 sessions conducted at PGIMS Rohtak in 2025-26 alone.
To bolster the transplant program, the government has designated it a flagship healthcare initiative. Two transplant surgeons are appointed with special remuneration, ensuring state-of-the-art infrastructure and comprehensive support. Consequently, renal transplants, which normally cost at least ₹5 lakh in private facilities, are now accessible free of charge to Haryana residents at PGIMS Rohtak.
