The SARTHAK initiative, launched in May 2025 by the Haryana government, is spearheading a comprehensive action taken report on enhancing healthcare services across public hospitals and urban primary health centres. Recent inspections in November 2025 revealed deficiencies in patient care, drug availability, and infrastructure at various facilities, including Civil Hospital and 25 other primary and community health centres.
In response, significant upgrades have been implemented. Ultrasound and routine surgical procedures are now conducted during evening shifts at Civil Hospital, with staff rotation ensuring access to radiology services across multiple locations. Basic surgeries in orthopaedics, ENT, and ophthalmology are also being performed more frequently. Free surgical camps organized in November 2025 further boosted procedure numbers, with 372 surgeries conducted. Essential medicines have been restocked, and all 28 emergency response vehicles are now operational.
Future enhancements include expediting the construction of new hospital buildings. A five-floor building at Sohna sub-division hospital is planned, while Civil Hospital's new facility, featuring an ICU and centralized air conditioning, is expected to be completed by December 2026 or February 2027. These developments aim to provide modern, improved healthcare to the district's residents.
