GTB Hospital Emergency Block to Get Major Overhaul

GTB Hospital is set to undergo a substantial renovation of its emergency block, a project initiated by an order dated November 19. This extensive remodeling aims to create a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed to meet anticipated healthcare needs for the next decade and a half. The Public Works Department will oversee the redevelopment, with the project ideally completed within the current financial year.

During the renovation period, all emergency operations from GTB Hospital, including its registration, patient reception, observation areas, ICUs, operating theaters, and diagnostic services, will be temporarily transferred to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital in Tahirpur. Essential equipment and human resources will also be relocated to ensure continuity of care at the new site.
