Director of Secondary Health, K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu, has dispatched appreciation letters to 50 government hospitals. These institutions, operating under the Directorate of Secondary Health, have been recognized for their commendable performance in providing advanced medical care.
Between January 31, 2026, and recently, these hospitals successfully conducted 32 complex surgical procedures. Notable among these were total knee replacements, surgeries for rectal prolapse, fibroid hysterectomies, skin transplants, and the removal of a 9-kg abdominal tumor. This achievement avoids the need for patients to be referred to other facilities.
Furthermore, 18 government hospitals demonstrated outstanding dedication by effectively implementing national health programs. Dr. Babu emphasized that these hospitals provide high-quality medical care despite not always having the most advanced equipment. This dedication minimizes financial strain on patients and alleviates the inconvenience of long-distance travel.
Area Hospital in Dharmavaram, District Hospital in Parvathipuram, MCH Hospital in Adoni, Area Hospital in Anaparthi, Community Health Centre in Peddapuram, and District Hospital in Anakapalli were among the top-performing facilities.
