Following her transplant in August 2021, her health took another critical turn in early 2024. Irregular blood tests and concerning symptoms led to a diagnosis of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder. This revealed a malignancy in her bowel, requiring chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
After months of treatment, which included exploring alternative therapies, the young girl received life-changing news. In November 2025, scans confirmed she was in remission, marking the end of her cancer battle. Her family now cherishes each day, undergoing regular scans, and expresses profound gratitude for the medical teams and the support of the charity Spread a Smile.
