18 Apr
Summary
- Addall supplements found with dangerous illegal ingredients.
- Products pose risks of addiction and heart complications.
- Company refused full recall, FDA issued urgent warning.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an urgent warning regarding Addall supplements, specifically the orange-flavored Addall XR shot and Addall XL 30 capsules. These products, distributed by ZMB Enterprises, LLC, were found to contain dangerous, illegal, and undeclared ingredients. FDA testing confirmed the presence of Phenibut and 1,4-DMAA in the shot, and DMHA and 1,4-DMAA in the capsules. These substances are unapproved food additives and pose high risks, including addiction, severe withdrawal symptoms, and life-threatening cardiovascular complications like high blood pressure and heart attack.
The FDA initially contacted ZMB Enterprises in January, recommending a recall. The company agreed to recall only the shot, refusing to recall the capsules, though they stated they would cease using the unapproved ingredient. The agency is now advising consumers to immediately stop using and discard these Addall products. Retailers and distributors have also been instructed to cease sales and distribution, and to notify customers of the associated health risks.
