Dr. Marc Picot, a recovering vape addict and GP, knows firsthand the challenges of quitting vaping. The repeated motion of "lifting the device to your lips, breathing in and breathing out" creates a strong pattern that the brain associates with pleasure and stress relief.
To help others overcome this unique withdrawal symptom, Dr. Picot recommends several strategies. These include using fidget toys like cubes and spinners to keep the hands occupied, engaging in creative hobbies like drawing and sketching, and snacking on healthy foods like nuts and fruits to satisfy oral cravings. He also suggests playing mind-stimulating games and puzzles to occupy both the hands and the mind during cravings.
