Children's Health Partnership Expands Services
19 Feb
Summary
- Partnership adds eight inpatient and ambulatory specialties.
- Approximately 130 new physicians and providers join.
- Expansion aims to keep specialized pediatric care local.

Beginning March 1, 2026, Wolfson Children's Hospital and Nemours Children's Health are significantly expanding their collaborative efforts to provide enhanced pediatric medical care. This deepened partnership aims to ensure local children receive specialized treatment without the need for extensive travel.
The expansion will introduce eight new inpatient and ambulatory specialties, effectively creating a "one-stop shop" for families seeking comprehensive care. This development is crucial for the growing population of Jacksonville, where demand for specialized pediatric services has surged.
To support these expanded services, Nemours Children's Health is integrating approximately 60 physicians and 70 practice providers into the network. This influx of medical professionals, recruited over the past nine months, will bolster the hospital's capacity to treat complex cases.
Leadership from both institutions emphasizes that while the scope of services is increasing, the patient experience will remain familiar and seamless. Allegra C. Jaros, President of Wolfson Children's Hospital, stated that families will experience an increase in care options, not a disruption. Aaron Carpenter, North Florida President for Nemours Children's Health, highlighted the goal of providing cohesive care across inpatient and outpatient settings, keeping children's health needs local.
