Doreen Howe, CEO of the American Red Cross in Greater New York, presented Kelly with the Lifesaving Award. Howe emphasized the importance of courage and the willingness to help others in critical situations, urging bystanders not to remain passive. Kelly, who is also part of the South Orange Volunteer Rescue Squad, hopes her actions inspire others to intervene when someone is in need.
