The 2026 Empire State Ride has concluded, setting a new fundraising record by raising $2.4 million for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. This seven-day cycling event saw 250 participants travel from Staten Island to Niagara Falls, concluding on Saturday afternoon.
Funds generated from this year's ride will propel Roswell Park's pioneering research forward. This includes advancing SurVaxM, a novel brain cancer immunotherapy granted FDA Fast-Track Designation, and expanding cell therapy initiatives with a new GMP facility, aiming to improve outcomes for blood cancers and explore CAR T-Cell therapy for solid tumors.
Further investment will support the Roswell Park Liquid Biopsy, currently in phase II studies, which aids in monitoring treatment response and detecting cancer recurrence. Since its 2014 inception, the Empire State Ride has raised over $14 million, underscoring its significant impact on cancer research and clinical trials.
