A once plain room at East Surrey Hospital has been revitalized into a tranquil haven for patients receiving cancer treatment. Generous donations from hospital staff, patients, and the wider community collectively raised £5,000 for this vital project.
The Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Charity (SSHC) facilitated the transformation of the Godstone Ward room. It now boasts a warm ambiance with serene imagery, intended to foster a sense of calm during sensitive discussions.
Emmanuel Dimaisip, the ward manager and chemotherapy nurse, expressed gratitude for the support. This initiative ensures patients have a more comfortable and peaceful environment during their treatment journey at the hospital.
