Drew Barrymore Undergoes Emergency Biopsy After Concerning Mammogram

On November 3rd, 2025, Emmy-winning host and actress Drew Barrymore opened up about a recent health scare on her talk show. Barrymore revealed that she had undergone an "emergency biopsy" after receiving a "bad mammogram" during a conversation with comedian and breast cancer survivor Tig Notaro.

Barrymore, visibly emotional, shared the experience, stating, "I'm completely fine, but I did get a bad mammogram and I got taken into that room and then I had an emergency biopsy. And I waited those five days." Notaro, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and has been in remission since 2013, acknowledged the anxiety of waiting for test results, saying, "It's a long wait."
