Doctor Struck Off for 'Fatal' Vitamin C Cancer Cure Claims
30 Oct
Summary
- Doctor promoted unproven Vitamin C injections as cancer cure.
- Patient suffered severe bleeding and incurred debt from treatment.
- Doctor was struck off in Norway and the UK for misconduct.

Dr. David De Clive-Lowe, a 70-year-old practitioner, has been removed from the medical register for serious misconduct. He claimed to offer a cure for advanced cancer using high-dose Vitamin C injections.
His patient experienced severe bleeding and significant debt due to the costly, unproven treatments. The Norwegian medical board found no scientific basis for Vitamin C's efficacy against cancer and deemed the treatment professionally irresponsible.
Further concerns arose when Dr. De Clive-Lowe administered Venofer, a prescription drug with potentially fatal side effects if misused, outside its approved indications.
This misconduct led to his striking off in Norway in May 2022. He failed to notify the UK medical authorities, resulting in his subsequent erasure from the UK medical register by the MPTS.
