This collaboration allows Vitality members to access discounted weight loss jabs through Boots' Online Doctor service. The discount is contingent upon members actively engaging in healthy behaviors, such as achieving daily step goals, visiting the gym, or participating in events like ParkRun.

Discounts range from a minimum of 10% to a maximum of 25%, with higher membership tiers (Silver, Gold, Platinum) receiving greater reductions. These savings can amount to approximately £1,000 annually for those on the highest dose of Mounjaro. The scheme aims to provide a behavioral incentive for sustained healthy living.

Studies, including a major Oxford review, highlight that without sustained lifestyle changes, individuals tend to regain nearly all lost weight after stopping the injections. Experts emphasize that obesity is a chronic condition requiring long-term management, potentially involving lifelong treatment similar to managing blood pressure.
