A new health clinic dedicated to young children lacking a family doctor has opened its doors in Dieppe. This facility aims to support approximately 2,000 children under the age of five within the expansive Beauséjour health zone, which encompasses Greater Moncton and extends to Richibucto and Sackville.
The clinic is equipped to perform comprehensive assessments, covering physical growth, motor skills, cognitive abilities, and social development. It will also address common pediatric health concerns such as fevers, ear infections, and digestive issues, while providing ongoing management for conditions like asthma and allergies.
Previously managed by N.B. Health Link, the service is now under Vitalité Health Network's purview, facilitating closer integration with existing healthcare teams. The initiative strives to seamlessly transition these young patients to local family health teams by age five, ensuring continued primary care access.
